In all honesty… today I did a horrible job! I didn’t have time to properly warm-up so my vocals were strained. Also looking back I was way to focused on the mechanics and making sure everything went smoothly. I am so thankful that its not about me and that we don’t have to be perfect for God to bless us. Although I could have done a better job in a lot of areas, the overall day was great! We had a wonderful time of prayer and three people received salvation.

Today was one of those Sundays when technically speaking things didn’t go very smoothly. The sound system was whacked out so nothing was balanced properly and the overall volume was extremely hot, but in spite of all the technical issues the congregation really seemed to enter in to worship. I’m so glad things don’t have to be perfect for Him to inhabit our praise!

Today was our first time singing “Because of Your love”. It was led by Dearl a new member of our band, he did a great job on the song. The congregation really seemed to get into the song. I think it will end up being a favorite of ours.

This was our second time doing God of ages and it seemed to be very well received by the congregation. I love singing this song the lyrics are awesome.

We added 3 new members to our band today Justin on bass, Clint on drums & Dearl on grand piano. They did a great job and the band sounded amazing! This gave a much needed break to some of the guys who have been playing every week for years. We now have enough band members to do a rotation so that everyone gets a week off .

Service was great we had baptism during the intro to Name above all Names. This is the second time that we did baptism during our worship set and it works great for us. The intro was done on Grand Piano, Saxophone and Acoustic Guitar. When the baptism was completed the whole band joined in and we went into Name Above which is a favorite for our congregation. We finished our set out with a None but Jesus/Turn Your eyes Medley. Overall everything went smoothly with no major hiccups it was a seamless flow.

Halloween 08

My husband Scott is the Youth Pastor at Crosspointe church and each year we have a Youth Halloween Party. We get together dress-up eat lots of food and pass out candy to the neighborhood kids.
Well this year our whole family decided to dress-up. We wanted costumes that were creative but didn’t cost much……. So here’s what we came up with………
