Today was one of those Sundays when technically speaking things didn’t go very smoothly. The sound system was whacked out so nothing was balanced properly and the overall volume was extremely hot, but in spite of all the technical issues the congregation really seemed to enter in to worship. I’m so glad things don’t have to be perfect for Him to inhabit our praise!
Today was our first time singing “Because of Your love”. It was led by Dearl a new member of our band, he did a great job on the song. The congregation really seemed to get into the song. I think it will end up being a favorite of ours.

We’ve been working on “We Cry Out” lately. That’s will probably be the next new song we do.
I love “The Stand.” So simple and powerful.
I love “The Stand.” I think it might be a modern classic in the making.
hey someone else does know who church of the harvest is….Yeah! Great set list and thanks for commenting on my blog.
adding you to my blogroll.
Steff – I taught here in your presence with just one time through on the verse and chorus so we could get to bridge quicker (it’s the hook)…then once the peeps got the hang of it we started doing the 8 minute version : )
Hey, Steff!
It took me a while to get up the nerve to debut “Because of Your Love,” mainly because I used to think it was just goofy singing “yeah” in a song to God with a bunch of other believers.
However… I’m converted now, and I love parts like that!
How did the congregation take to the “yeah” part? Even the older people in our fellowship seem to like that part (except for the handful of perpetual stone-faces).
And I haven’t heard of “Church of the Harvest.” Well, not before now. Hitting their website. Is it a church in Oklahoma?
everyone…great tune that they do in our live services…for some reason we’ve never done it in the video venue…i’m thinking we need to add it…
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Your set looks like a good one too! I posted the top ten, too, if you want to check it out
You did a lot of songs I’ve never heard of! Thanks for giving me new songs to discover.
“The Stand” is one of my favorite songs, I could sing it every week! Not familiar with “Church of the Harvest” will have to check it out, thanks!
It always goes well because our congregation loves Casting Crowns. We never do the instrumental bridge but add the time lost at the end with vocal improv. Another couple of CC songs that do really well, Set Me Free, and Father, Spirit, Jesus.
